Hello, I’m Gina L. Hicks, the Owner and Founder of GLH Beauty and GLH Nail Lacquer. My passion has always been helping people feel confident through healthy nail care while promoting self-care as an essential part of overall wellness. Since launching GLH Nail Lacquer in August 2015, my mission has been to create products and services that enhance the beauty of natural nails without compromising their health. Every step of my journey has been driven by education, creativity, and a genuine desire to help others care for themselves with confidence.

The Story Behind GLH Nail Lacquer

GLH Nail Lacquer was created with both beauty and wellness in mind. Our collection features 12 vegan, eco-friendly, 5-free nail polish shades designed to complement natural nails while supporting healthier nail care practices.

In addition to our signature polish collection, we offer a three-step nail treatment system that includes:

Base Coat
Top Coat
Nourishing Cuticle Oil

Each product was thoughtfully developed to help protect, strengthen, and maintain the natural nail while providing beautiful results.

This collection holds special meaning for me, as it is dedicated to the memory of my late parents, Mr. Isaac Hicks and Mrs. Elizabeth Hicks. Two of our signature shades honor their legacy:

King Isaac – A rich royal blue inspired by my father.
Queen Liz – A beautiful soft metallic gold inspired by my mother.

Their love and encouragement continue to inspire everything I do.

As a freelance nail technician with years of professional experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting environments, including:

A Commitment to Community

Beyond providing professional men’s manicure services, I believe education plays an important role in promoting lifelong wellness. Through GLH Beauty, I’ve developed enrichment programs that bring self-care education directly into communities. By partnering with senior centers, nursing homes, schools, corporations, and community organizations, I help participants learn practical hand and nail care techniques that encourage confidence, healthy habits, and personal well-being. I’m also passionate about introducing younger generations to healthy self-care practices through educational programs that empower students to understand the value of grooming, wellness, and confidence from an early age.
